Hello

Aimee brings a unique perspective to counseling as she grew up in 3 countries and saw the diversity of the world.  After college in the US, she married a man in the military and they embarked on moving around the country and overseas.  Having seen so many parts of the world, she truly understands how unique each person is and loves exploring who each client is and wants to be.

Aimee's Story

After graduating with her Masters in 2017 from Messiah College, Aimee started working at a small practice based in Fayetteville, NC.  During her time there, she discovered how many clients have experienced various levels of trauma and how she needed more training.  After completing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) basic training, she continued to be certified in EMDR which is considered one of the best trauma treatments available.

While EMDR is an important tool in her toolbelt, she also incorporates mindfulness, somatic resourcing and a holistic perspective, blending mind, body, and emotions to understand what the problem is and what needs to be addressed. Aimee has worked with a broad range of clients and mental health challenges.  During her time in Fayetteville, she worked with everyone from high schoolers to retirees, veterans to stay at home moms.  She has worked with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and adjusting to transitions in life. Aimee has worked with multiple clients with Autism as well as ADHD.  She also enjoys using her multicultural experience to understand people from all cultural backgrounds. She has worked comfortably with many clients who identify as LGBTQIA+.  She specializes in working with those who have experienced various forms of abuse – sexual, physical, spiritual and emotional.

Not all clients are interested in incorporating faith into their work, but Aimee is willing to honor each client’s faith, explore how it has impacted them or how they would like to have it effect their life.

Aimee and her family moved to Knoxville, TN, in 2022 and she opened her private practice in 2023 so that she can better serve her clients and family in balance.
